My name is Dr. Liia. I am trained pharmacist and an analytical chemist. My “whole life” I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry, until I decided to overhaul everything and focus on building my company and serving people around me.
I was born in Russia and lived there until I was 13 years old. Then I moved to the Netherlands. I know, not the most logical decision… After getting my degrees, I have lived worked and traveled to Eastern Europe, Middle East, Europe, UK and now USA.
I have 3 little kids, ages 12, 7 and 5. After almost 15 years in the healthcare industry, I decided to leave my highly paid job and explore this new journey in life…
How does one go about it? About making the decision to leave, to start something new at the age of 40 and to become ‘no-one’ after being ‘someone’… in my eyes of course.
I had psoriasis since I was 6 years old and non-celiac gluten intolerance since 39. This prompted me to start EpiLynx by Dr. Liia, gluten-free, allergen-friendly, cruelty-free, autoimmune conditions friendly skincare company.
MY goal with this blog is to provide an educational content about ingredients in skincare, science behind formulations, how to start your own company, leadership principles, mental and gut health and more.
